My projects at VicRoads have enjoyed a close and enormously productive relationship with CMA now for over six years. CMA offers a sensational approach for dealing with every form of relationship. The principles apply equally to business and personal interactions with a focus on achieving mutually agreeable solutions. It is a huge jump from dated concepts based on win/lose strategies.
After participating in his first CMA program, one of my managers is quoted as saying "the penny has dropped, I now understand what people are talking about"! The principles make sense, the strategies work and anyone can achieve an instant difference in their relationships.
I am confident that the CMA approach of principled negotiations and leadership styles significantly influenced the achievements and outcomes on the Hallam Bypass Project. The local community and the Victorian public in general enjoyed huge benefits from the cultural change experienced by the team and outstanding relationships maintained with stakeholders, contractors, Government and the public. What’s more, the project was delivered some 17 months early and significantly under budget, largely due to the enhanced relationships and team development that CMA assisted with.

Nufarm made a conscious decision three years ago to concentrate more effort and resources on staff development. So the search went out for a service provider who would spend the time to understand our business and culture. We were simply looking for someone that would listen to our requirements and tailor packages accordingly rather than just churn out generic training seminars. CMA were introduced to us by a consultant who had previously engaged their services and we haven't looked back.
CMA has rolled out a number of ongoing programs with Nufarm. These range from Negotiation skills, work with our leadership group, open seminars and one-on-one coaching. Unlike many training programs we have undertaken, CMA's theory is put into practise on a daily basis. The work we have done together has undoubtedly contributed to better client interactions and more effective internal relationships.
